Our design department is Mac platform, so we prefer all customer files to be in one of the following file formats:
Adobe Photoshop CS2
All .psd, .tiff or .eps files from Photoshop should include an 1/8" bleed (.125) beyond the final size of the job (if required). Example: A business card's document size should be 3.5" W x 2" H with 1/8" bleed (.125) if required. All .psd files shoud also include fonts or have text layers rasterized.
Adobe Illustrator CS2
All .ai or .eps files from Illustrator should be set up to the final size of the job. Example: A business card's document size should be 3.5" W x 2" H with 1/8" bleed (.125) if required. Include all fonts and images (links) used in the file or convert all fonts to outlines.
Adobe InDesign CS2
All files from InDesign should be set up to the final size of the job. Example: A business card's document size should be 3.5" W x 2" H with 1/8" bleed (.125) if required. Include all fonts and images (links) used in the file.
PDF Files
All pdf files must be distilled using the High Quality setting with a resolution of 300 dpi or more. Fonts should be embedded or converted to outlines/paths prior to distilling the file. Please include a 1/8" bleed if required and be sure your pdf file separates properly prior to uploading/emailing.
QuarkXpress 7.2
All files from QuarkXpress should be set up to the final size of the job. Example: A business card's document size should be 3.5" W x 2" H with 1/8" bleed (.125) if required. Include all fonts and images (links) used in the file.
Freehand MX
All files from Freehand should be set up to the final size of the job. Example: A business card's document size should be 3.5" W x 2" H with 1/8" bleed (.125) if required. Include all fonts and images (links) used in the file or convert all fonts to paths.
